standing outside wednesday night around 11pm

It makes me believe
These tow trucks
Rumbling
Through the night
And into darkness
That we could remain like this forever,
Nearly frozen
To time

It is out and gone and nothing remains
But the beet red lights of that truck
while you sleep and yet I love this

The nothingness
The way the cool breeze converges with
The smoke
Pouring from my lungs
And joins the air

Surrounded by sky and crowning trees
And the seclusion we think we have from the world
Down Division
Where the cats run free

Me and you
And the
Desperation we came to this place
You and I
At different times
Because we were drawn by love
And we then
Became drawn to a bigger love
And it still clearly defines this place
The red lights and the truck
